Deebo Samuel debuts leg tattoos honoring Kobe, Ali, King
Wide receiver Deebo Samuel revealed new leg tattoos featuring portraits of Kobe Bryant, Muhammad Ali and Martin Luther King Jr. Tattoo artist Andres Ortega in Arizona completed the work in about seven hours several weeks ago. Photos posted to Ortega's social media account provided fans a close view of the ink.
One leg displays the late Kobe Bryant, the five-time NBA champion with the Los Angeles Lakers, alongside boxing great Muhammad Ali and civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. The opposite leg includes images of Samuel's son from his toddler years, the video game character Sonic the Hedgehog and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Samuel spent six seasons with the San Francisco 49ers before a March 2025 trade to the Washington Commanders. He recorded 727 receiving yards in his only season with the Commanders.
The tattoos emerged amid ongoing NFL free agency, though Samuel's immediate team status follows his recent trade.
