Hamlin Leads Odds for Texas Würth 400
Denny Hamlin enters as the betting favorite at +400 odds for the NASCAR Cup Series Würth 400 at Texas Motor Speedway on Sunday, May 3. The race airs at 3:30 p.m. ET on FS1. Carson Hocevar sits sixth in the odds at +1100 after claiming his first Cup victory last week at Talladega.
A massive wreck at Talladega eliminated several contenders and handed Hocevar the win. The DraftKings Sportsbook odds, current as of May 1, list Tyler Reddick second at +550, Kyle Larson third at +650, Christopher Bell at +900 and Ryan Blaney at +1000. William Byron matches Hocevar at +1100, followed by Joey Logano and Chase Elliott at +1400 each.
Hamlin has won at Las Vegas this season, led 603 laps and holds second in the driver standings. He led 28 laps at Talladega before finishing 15th. Last year at Texas, Hamlin lasted only 73 laps before a power loss sparked a fire that ended his race.
Hocevar jumped to eighth in Bob Pockrass's latest power rankings. FOX Sports Motorsports Insider Bob Pockrass noted Hocevar "probably feels like he’s on top of the world." Hocevar finished 24th at Texas last year but took the pole there in 2025 at 191.659 mph.
