Cam Skattebo, a running back for the Arizona State Sun Devils, has developed a reputation as a hard-nosed runner during his college career.[1]
The 5-foot-10, 219-pound Skattebo transferred to Arizona State from Sacramento State ahead of the 2023 season and broke out in 2024, drawing comparisons to power backs like former New York Giants standout Brandon Jacobs for his bruising approach to contact.[2]
In 13 games during the 2024 regular season and postseason, Skattebo rushed for 1,397 yards and 17 touchdowns while adding 18 receptions for 642 yards and three scores. He ranked second nationally with 1,049 yards after contact.[3]
Arizona State finished the 2024 season 10-3 overall, including a 7-2 mark in Big 12 play, before losing to Texas 33-31 in the Pop-Tarts Bowl on December 28, 2024.[4]
Skattebo, who turned 23 in October 2024, has declared for the 2025 NFL Draft.[5]
